Manufacturing Engineer - Medical Device

Our Client is medical device company, focused on developing and commercializing a disruptive neurostimulation based therapy for the treatment of Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA). Headquartered in Mont-Saint-Guibert (Belgium), the Company was co-founded in 2009. The company has developed the first and only lead-free neurostimulator, capable of delivering bilateral hypoglossal nerve stimulation for moderate to severe OSA patients, who have failed conventional CPAP therapy.

Job Description:

§     Manage sub-contractors and vendors to meet production goals, yields and costs per specifications of the products.

§     Oversee, follow-up and monitor production processes at manufacturer sites located in Europe and U.S. to ensure quality production within defined timelines.

§     Perform final QC for components and Semi finished goods at supplier site and support in batch release at subcontractor site.

§     Manage inventory of finished goods in local warehouse and monitor and maintain inventory at clinical sites and hubs.

§     Manage and report inbound and outbound transactions of inventory to and from clinical sites and hubs.

§     Manage and report inventory of returned goods and support logistics activity.

Position Requirements:

§     Master in engineering (mechanical, biomedical or electrical preferred).

§     3-5 years experience as process / mechanical / electrical engineer in a multidisciplinary company (preferably a medical device company).

§     Experience with diverse production processes (molding, rapid-prototyping, coating, SMD, plasma application, etc).

§     Be able to work independently in a multi-task environment and meet deadlines.

§     Ability to identify problems and drive issue resolution / improvements.

§     Generate RFPs / POs for vendors and suppliers and provide engineering guidance and oversight of their activities.

§     Ability to frequent travels to subcontractor sites.

§     Skills in Microsoft applications specifically Excel.

§      “Hand On” personality and capabilities.

§     Effective technical writing skills as well as good verbal communication /presentation skills.

§     Get Things Done- Maintains a high level of productivity while handling multiple tasks and challenges throughout the day.
